Prenting Teenage Suicide video

1 in 5 Teen suffer from depression.  Depression in our youth is a national epidemic and we owe it to our young people to provide them with the education, tools and support to overcome the terrible feelings and results of depression.  A special emphasis should be place on the most painful result of depression - suicide.  Teen suicide prevention should be at heart of all depression education programs in our schools.

Village of 100 Diversity VideoA while back an email circulated that talked about what the world would look like if it was compressed into a Village of 100 with all the existing human ratios remaining the same.  The email went viral because the results of this compression were so compelling.  It made the need for tolerance and understanding even more apparent and spawned a diversity video called Village of 100.

STD Educational VideosSTDs are an unfortunate and common occurrence in teenagers today.  Teenagers are more sexually active than ever and this has caused the rampant acceleration of STDs in the age group.  Many young people don't completely understand the repercussions of their actions.  STD education in our schools and by parents needs to be a priority among teenagers.

There are three types of STDs - parasitic, bacterial and viral.  Bacterial and parasitic STDs can be cured with medicine, however some viral STDs never go away and leave their victims with a lifelong battle.  STDs need to be treated immediately for the treatment to be effective.  The longer the teen waits, the better the chance that the will develop serious health problems.    Cancer and liver damage can result from untreated infections.

Drug Prevention VideoDrug and alcohol abuse starts at an extremely young age these days.  It's vitally important to start education and prevention at a young age as well.  Students in the grades of 3-5 need to receive drug abuse prevention education.  They see older siblings, parents and even peers trying drugs such as tobacco and marijuana and if they are not educated they will follow the actions that they see around them.  This education needs to come at home, in student organizations and as part of every schools curriculum.

Sexting Educational VideoSexting is the sharing of sexual pictures, videos and messages via a text message. The act has become an epidemic in America and has caused a myriad of privacy, psychological and legal issues. Sexting can lead to private pictures getting posted on pornographic websites or social networking sites. The act can also get the student in trouble for sexual harassment or other deeper legal issues such as distributing pornographic images of a minor. Sexting prevention education should be part of every schools curriculum.
